Proficiency Exam
CAS-121
During the first week of the course a Proficiency Exam may be taken to determine  computer knowledge and skills. An exam score of 80% or higher will exempt a student from having to complete the entire semester of course activities.  Because this process requires a fee and additional activities by both faculty and student, this test should only be taken by those who seriously feel they have sufficient educational and/or work experience with computers and/or Microsoft Office 2010 (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access).  This exam is administered by computer and takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete.   If it is passed three credit hours will be awarded, a grade of "PR" will appear on the transcript and the overall grade point average will not be affected.
